ABOUT

I’m glad you’re still interested in getting to know more about me :)

So as I’ve told you before I grew up in Lucknow, which is the capital city of an Indian state called Uttar Pradesh. There I completed my High School Diploma from City Montessori School, a highly reputed institute in India. Along with Computer Science, I also have a keen interest in various other activities like sports, gardening, voluntary services etc., discussed in Experiences, which have played a major role in my personality and character development. I believe had it not been for these activities I wouldn’t have learnt numerous important Human values like compassion, cooperation, sympathy, patience, which are as important as having academic excellence.

Speaking about my academic career, I’ve been awarded AP Scholar Award by the College Board in 2021, Inspire Scholarship by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India in Oct 2022 and received Letter of Appreciation twice from Hon. Defense Minister, The Govt. of Republic of India  in Aug 2020 and in September 2022 for academic excellence in standard X and XII respectively.
City Montessori School has awarded me with a Certificate of Appreciation, in 2021, in recognition of my service as a part of JYEP for organizing the Helping Hands program and a Certificate of Merit, in 2022, for getting Letter of Acceptance from multiple international universities.

Being a sport enthusiast, I am also very active in sports. I represented my school at Inter School Badminton Tournaments. I also try to maintain a balance between academics and sports as according to me both are of equal importance. In India as well as in UMD, I’ve my friend circle with whom I usually play a variety of sports. Though I love trying out new sports, Badminton has always been my first priority. Besides that, I’ve played Cricket, Basketball,  Squash and Racquetball.

Gardening, is another hobby which I love to do in my free time. I’m a nature lover, and I love to be with nature. Back home in India, I had my own garden comprising various plants. In UMD as well I like sitting at mall during the day in sunlight experiencing the cold breeze during the fall in 2022. It is really a refreshing and relaxing experience for me when I am involved in gardening or I’m with nature.

VISION :
I deeply care for the environment, and I want to use my skill as a software-developer to harness the power of Artificial-Intelligence and Machine-Learning. I am sure that using the AI/ML, we can positively impact the three pillars of sustainable development, namely Society, Economy, and Environment and enable the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals and targets internationally agreed in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

MY FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

I believe our families and communities often define us and our individual worlds to a great extent. Therefore, here’s a short summary about my parents and community:

Dad:

My father's name is Surendra. He's a Registered Chartered Civil Engineer with MBA – Project Management. He has been working in PMC for last 2.5 decades and has been posted in projects located in India, Afghanistan, Sudan, South Sudan and Azerbaijan. In 2022, he started a new journey in his life by becoming Director of Transport & Infrastructure at Sheladia Associates Inc, in States.

The bond I share with dad is more of a friend than of a father. To take it to another level we call each other chief/boss/sir. We are frank with each other to the extent that he has given me the liberty to share anything. It his idea of giving equal importance to academics and sports which I try to follow.

Maa:

Talking about maa, her name is Amita. She is a down to earth person and very supportive. Behind all what we (Grand Father, dad, and myself) are doing or can do, she is the backbone of our family. Besides being a traditional Indian woman, she has a good knowledge of modern-day life and requirements. She used to work with my father in the same company in Afghanistan, but later decided to support me while taking care of our family farm, as a hobby.

They are hardworking but at the same time they love to live their life to the fullest

Community:

I come from a community of farmers. Our life revolves around mother-earth and nature conservation is inbuilt in our daily life activities. My family’s roots are based in the traditional Indian village where agriculture, animal husbandry, fish farming are key sources of living resources. Because people spend so much time with nature, they make sure that they pay due attention towards conservation of environment and focus more on locally available organic products.

The people of my community are very hardworking since farming is an occupation where no working hours are defined. We must be regular and consistent to ensure a good produce. In my village, farmers are also very open-minded and enthusiastic in adopting new and scientific methods for better yield.

In our village, we follow community living to the truest sense and a problem for one member is taken as a problem for everyone and we all collaboratively try to find a solution to it.

Coming from such a sharing and caring, dynamic, and robust community, these values are imbibed in me and have always inspired me to do something for the society.
